One morning while I was working out west I had a rather unusual experience.
As usual I noticed the ugliness of the place around – a large construction site that had room for little nature.
But almost immediately I was struck by the profound stillness of the morning.
Then I noticed the sky, overwhelmingly beautiful as the sun was preparing to rise.
In the stillness I realized that my own psyche is much like this place – there is an ugliness, a beauty and a profound stillness. I would go so far as to say that we’re all like that.
